OUR CONTRIBUTIONS TO OBP
Regarding the Combined Heat and Power Plant:
- -In collaboration with the design team, identified the financial, sustainable, and logistical, benefits of a CHP plant over a combined cycle plant
- -Continued technical assistance that ensures the owner's vision for advanced clean power technology will result in financial, performance, and sustainable operational realities
- -An installation that is accessible and serviceable by the operating staff within the limited space constraints
- -Operators that are confident of the plant operation by way of rigorous training and hands-on involvement in the performance testing and turnover process.
Regarding the chilled water Plant:
- -Flow modeling to impose equal chiller differential pressure (and therefore flow) without balancing valves
- -Elimination of check valves at chilled water and condenser water pumps
- -Optimized chiller capacity during operation through right-sized chillers
- -Flexibility of primary flow control to reduce the number of pumps and therefore footprint
- -Identification of the energy savings and operational benefits of primary-secondary over variable primary
- -Factory test validation for the chillers with test points specific to the needs of One Bryant Park
- -Assurance that the chillers are accessible for maintenance, break-down, and reassembly after installation
